Guardian of the Angel
I wanted to compose something upbeat and jazzy, and this was the result.
The track was greatly inspired by the MOD "Soul-O-Matic" by Purple Motion (I
even borrowed a few of the samples). Other than that, some other
influence came from artists like Bela Fleck and Primus.
I think this track would be very difficult for live musicians. One of
the drumfills is pretty much impossible to achieve with only one drummer.
;)
The funky bass guitar sounds were all sampled on my Amiga using a Squire
Precision bass.
The title actually doesn't have any meaning relating to the track
itself. It was a sort of unofficial dedication to someone I liked very
much at that time.
