The Ladies

Danielle

Danielle was going to be one of the main characters in an action game I was planning, but I figured her character needed more development.  Later, I wrote a story about how she is one of the last surviving humans after a disaster on Earth.

Kicks

I found a cool picture of someone kicking in a martial arts book and I liked it so much that I decided to sketch it as an excercise.

Elven Sorceress

Certainly AD&D and Elf Quest inspired.  I drew this one in a UofR cafeteria during a lunch break.

Nimrodel

This is a sketch I made of a friend's character on a MUD called 'Angalon'.  She didn't like the halter-top though.

Victory

Victory is an elven bard.  Ok, for this one I should have drawn in a lute or something.  I drew this one during a work shift at a radio station.

Melf Stormgale

Melf Stormgale

This is the very first sketch I made of my AD&D character, Melf Stormgale.  It still wasn't quite what I had in mind, so I changed the style after this one.

Tavern Brawl

Another high school art teacher had a book about drawing comics.  After reading it, I drew this action pose of Melf beating some guy senseless.  'Melf' is short for 'Melvhenthaelus', BTW.

"I'll give you a lute!"

This violent outburst was Melf's reply to a racist comment involving elves, meadows, lutes, and prancing. The offending comment had been uttered by an irritating fellow named 'Lord Firestorm'.

Misery

Betrayed by the woman he loves (or so he thinks), Melf sinks into a deep depression.

Revenge

Melf was brought back from near-death by a bard named 'Victory'.  After being mortally wounded by a thug, he has sworn to bring down the criminal band that kidnapped his beloved Lyllauna.

Town Crossroads

This was made during my role-playing days on a MUD called "Angalon".  I drew the background first in 2-point perspective and then traced the final drawing and shaded it with the character added in.

Cartoons

Ffyle Foxtrot

I created these portraits when I used to play on a Furry-based network game called 'Brazilian Dreams'.  Naturally, I chose to play a fox character.

Fireball!

This is what happens when you let a cartoon fox become a magic user and then irritate him.  Vicious.

Dragon

This was my most successful attempt at drawing a dragon.  It's not too nasty looking, so it must be a benevolent dragon.

Portrait Composite

I have a multitude of small character sketches, so I made this composite of the ones I thought were the best.  The bottom left face bears a strong resemblance to a friend of mine, Laurel.

Jah'Kathar

This was to be a main character in an RPG I was working on.  This is one of my favourite sketches.  It was made in a cafeteria when I was bored one day.

Lone Warrior

Just a quick sketch of some face-painted warrior.  I think this one resembles another friend of mine, but he disagrees (really, I *have* seen that smirk on his face!)
